Growing up in the southern region, where politeness was ingrained in us from a young age, we were taught to always say "please," "thank you," "yes ma'am," and "yes sir." Whenever we visited my grandmother's house, we were promptly sent outside to play with the neighboring kids, spending most of our day immersed in the wonders of nature.
We would explore the enchanting creeks and woods, engaging in activities like fishing and hunting. Occasionally, the distant sound of a woodpecker's rhythmic tapping would reach our ears, adding to the symphony of our adventures. These were the moments that inspired the birth of Pecker Pride, a symbol of simpler times when life was less burdensome, and a peaceful evening meant gathering around a crackling bonfire, sharing laughter and conversation with the entire family.
However, in today's fast-paced world, the traditional workday no longer adheres to the 9 to 5 schedule; it has extended to grueling 10 to 12-hour shifts, leaving little time for familial connection.
